Couponing is fun and helps make things affordable, but it can take time...which is highly valuable in my world! I try to make couponing a do-able thing and have it down to a ritual. This may or may not work for you, but I'll share it with you anyway.
1. The coupons arrive in the paper and I cut out the coupons that I or my family will use. If there is someone else who wants to look through the un-clipped coupons, I save them in a bag to pass along.
2. I immediate file the coupons in my wonderful coupon box that my daughter made for me (pictures to follow soon).
3. When the grocery store circulars or ads arrive, I look at their deals and pair up the coupons with the deals that will allow me to purchase my product for a low price or get it FREE. I then paper clip the coupons to ad for the grocery store that has the best after-coupon price.
4. If I don't make it to a paricular store for the week, I pull the coupons off the ad and refile them in my box.
5. Every week or so, I go through my coupons and pull any expired coupons. Sometimes, if an expiring coupon will be very beneficial to use, I move it to the front of the box.
